Online food delivery platform Zomato has set ambitious sustainability goals for 2030, including achieving 100% deliveries through electric vehicles (EVs) to attain net zero emissions across the food ordering and delivery value chain by 2033.
The company plans to make 100% of its food delivery orders plastic-neutral through voluntary recycling, with a target of delivering 100 million plastic-free food orders by 2025.
Additionally, Zomato aims to enhance the earning and saving capacity of one million gig workers through upskilling, partnerships, and benefit programs.
The company also plans to build food ordering and delivery solutions for the next billion customers, focusing on affordability, accessibility, assortment, and quality.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Zomato commits to supporting the growth of 300,000 micro, small, and medium restaurant businesses and food entrepreneurs while bringing health and safety knowledge and innovations to restaurant partners.
