In a significant development at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Alliance for Automotive Innovation proudly introduced VinFast, a prominent global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, as its latest automotive member.
VinFast, headquartered in Los Angeles with a global presence, is extending its reach in the United States by not only expanding its retail network with dealerships but also establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Carolina, slated to commence operations in 2025. The company showcased its commitment to innovation at CES by unveiling the mini-SUV VF 3 and an intriguing concept truck, the VF Wild, adding to its growing lineup of all-electric vehicles.
During a formal signing ceremony, VinFast Chairwoman, Madame Le Thi Thu Thuy, and Alliance for Automotive Innovation President and CEO, John Bozzella, outlined VinFast’s dedication to automotive electrification and disclosed their ambitious investment plans for the U.S. market.
As an esteemed member of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, VinFast will actively engage in sharing information and best practices to influence policy decisions related to cutting-edge technologies. This includes promoting the advantages of electric vehicles, advancements in autonomous driving, personal mobility, innovations in automotive transportation, and connected car technologies.
VinFast’s involvement will extend to participation in committees and working groups, where the company will advocate for policies fostering innovation and investment in the automotive industry. This commitment, however, comes with a strong emphasis on ensuring safety and environmental sustainability.
