Kia, a prominent player in India’s premium car market, has launched its latest high-end Compact SUV – the New Sonet, with an attractive introductory price starting from INR 7.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) nationwide. Revealed in December 2023, this updated version of Kia’s second best-selling model comes equipped with an impressive array of features, including 25 safety features, a remarkable Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) featuring 10 autonomous functions, and a robust suite of 15 Hi-Safety features.
The New Sonet stands out with over 70 Connected car features, such as ‘Find My Car with SVM,’ providing a comprehensive view of the car’s surroundings and accepting Hinglish commands for added convenience. Offering a diverse driving experience, it comes in 19 different variants, including 5 Diesel Manual variants starting from INR 9.79 lakhs. The top-of-the-line variants for both diesel and petrol engines boast ADAS Level 1, featuring 10 autonomous functions. The GT Line and X-Line variants in Petrol are priced at INR 14.50 and 14.69 Lakhs, while the Diesel variants cost 15.50 and 15.69 Lakhs, respectively.
The new Sonet maintains its muscular and sporty design, showcasing its distinctive road presence with a robust and upright body style. With 10 autonomous features like Front Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), and Lane Following Assist (LFA), the compact SUV aligns with the preferences of modern Indian customers.
