Nexzu Mobility, a provider of sustainable urban transportation solutions, has forged an impactful partnership with the Government of Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in India’s mobility evolution. Together, they’re embarking on the creation of India’s inaugural Smart EV Park, poised to reshape the nation’s transportation landscape.
An investment of INR 5,000 crores over the coming decade will drive the establishment of this groundbreaking park, anticipated to generate employment opportunities for over 5,000 individuals. Pending the allocation of land, project initiation is slated for the upcoming year.
This pioneering collaboration between Nexzu and the State of Gujarat arrives at a pivotal moment within the mobility sphere. Electric vehicles stand as a crucial component in India’s efforts to curtail greenhouse gas emissions, garnering increased favor among both commercial and passenger vehicle consumers.
The Smart EV Park, leveraging the skillful execution and forward-thinking policies of the Government of Gujarat, promises to significantly propel the development of the wider EV ecosystem, expediting the adoption of electric mobility.
Functioning as a hub, this facility will offer comprehensive solutions to EV companies, professionals, owners, and users by consolidating an ecosystem within a concentrated area. It aims to streamline the supply chain, foster idea exchange, knowledge sharing, and infrastructure accessibility.

Mr. Chintamani Sardesai, Business Head at Nexzu Mobility, highlighted the transformational potential of this development within the Indian EV ecosystem. He emphasized the hub’s support for OEMs across vehicle segments, battery manufacturers, driver and mechanic training schools, test tracks for pre-homologation testing, and its role as an incubation center for sustainability-focused EV startups.
The envisioned Smart EV Park will stand as a cutting-edge industrial hub, featuring ready-to-use manufacturing facilities, shared testing and research units, residential complexes, educational institutions, and healthcare amenities. Furthermore, it will offer specialized training in electronics, battery manufacturing, powertrains, and other EV components, supporting startups lacking infrastructure or mechanical expertise to kickstart their operations.
