Hyundai India has announced the sale of over 1,000 units of its flagship electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, marking a significant milestone within five months of reaching the 500-unit sales reported in July 2023.
Launched in January 2023 and showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, the Ioniq 5 is Hyundai’s second electric vehicle in India following the Kona Electric.
Boasting features like electronic stability control, ADAS, and in-car device charging capabilities, the Ioniq 5 is the carmaker’s first model based on the E-GMP platform, offering a range of 631 km and powered by a 72.6 kWh battery pack and a permanent magnet synchronous motor generating 215 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
