CESL Invites Bids For 3,600 Electric Buses Across Various Indian States

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), has initiated the bidding process to select an operator for the procurement, supply, operation, and maintenance of 3,600 electric buses (e-bus) under the Pradhan Mantri (PM)-eBus Sewa initiative.

The deadline for bid submissions is December 14, 2023, with a non-refundable tender fee of ₹25,000. The state-wise allocation includes specific earnest money deposit (EMD) amounts:

  1. Bihar: 400 buses, EMD ₹10.99 crore
  2. Chandigarh: 100 buses, EMD ₹3.09 crore
  3. Gujarat: 425 buses, EMD ₹10.21 crore
  4. Haryana: 200 buses, EMD ₹4.80 crore
  5. Jammu & Kashmir: 200 buses, EMD ₹4.78 crore
  6. Maharashtra: 1,453 buses, EMD ₹37.61 crore
  7. Meghalaya: 50 buses, EMD ₹1.06 crore
  8. Odisha: 350 buses, EMD ₹8.83 crore
  9. Puducherry: 75 buses, EMD ₹2.14 crore
  10. Punjab: 347 buses, EMD ₹8.38 crore

This move aligns with India’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle infrastructure and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
