GO EC Autotech To Install 1,000 EV Charging Stations Across India
GO EC Autotech Pvt Ltd, a start-up based in Kerala, India, has announced the installation of 1,000 super-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the country. The company already operates 70 charging stations in Kerala and over 33 stations across India. The expansion project aims to strategically position the charging stations in capital cities, state highways, national highways, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, as well as rural areas. The goal is to cater to the needs of customers residing in remote locations and make it easier for them to adopt electric vehicles. GO EC has already deployed over 103 charging stations in India within a year and has partnered with major restaurants and shopping malls to provide convenient charging facilities for EV users.

Orxa Energies, a startup specializing in electric motorcycles, has unveiled its new manufacturing and battery assembly facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Situated in the Bommasandra Industrial Area and spanning across 1 acre, the facility has the capacity to produce 20,000 electric bikes under the Mantis brand. The site also includes dedicated spaces for research and development, Mantis assembly stations, battery assembly lines, and a product testing centre. The joint R&D and production facility will allow Orxa Energies to leverage its internal engineering talent to enhance vehicle technology, production methods, and assembly processes for their motorcycles.

The brand has raised a total fund worth INR 88 Crores since inception which will support Oben Electric in increasing their production capacity to 100,000 units per year at their 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru and meet their working capital requirements for distribution expansion. The funding round attracted notable participation from Institutional investors like Stride Ventures and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), along with new investors including Mumbai Angels and other high-net-worth individuals (HNIs).

Arvind Kejriwal Inaugurates 42 New Ultra-Low-Cost EV Charging Stations
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that Delhi has the lowest cost for using electric vehicles (EVs) in the country and has earned the title of the “EV capital” of India. At an event in GTB Nagar, Kejriwal inaugurated 42 new ultra-low-cost EV charging stations, bringing the total number of such stations in Delhi to 53. He emphasized that as the number of EVs in the city has increased in recent years, air pollution levels have decreased significantly. Kejriwal highlighted the positive impact of the EV policy implemented by the city government and mentioned that Delhi aims for at least 25% of new vehicles purchased by 2025 to be EVs. Currently, 13% of new vehicles bought in Delhi are EVs, surpassing the national average of 6%.

RACEnergy Inaugurates State-Of-The-Art Battery Manufacturing Facility In Hyderabad
RACEnergy, a deep-tech company that focuses on electric vehicle infrastructure and battery swapping, has officially opened its battery production facility in Hyderabad, covering an area of 10,000 square feet. With a 50 MWh capacity, the plant has the capability to manufacture 30,000 batteries annually. This development is in line with RACEnergy’s objective of producing 80,000 two and three-wheelers by 2025, a significant stride towards its goal of circulating 250,000 swappable batteries within the same timeframe. A notable achievement for RACEnergy is their attainment of the AIS-156 Phase 2 certification, making them the first swappable battery company to do so.
