Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency Invites Bids For 300 EVs
Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for providing electric vehicle fleet services on an own, operate and maintenance basis, for 300 electric vehicles (EVs). The deadline for submitting bids online is 31st May 2023. The bids will open on June 2, 2023. As a bid handling fee, the bidders must pay Rs 5,000 plus GST. The winning bidder will be required to pay Rs 6 million in bid security. The due date and time for receipt of pre-bid queries on the RFP are 10th May 2023 at 1:00 PM. The date and time for the pre-bid meeting online mode only is 15th May 2023 at 11:30 AM.
APSRTC Launches 12 New Electric Buses On Tirupati To Kadapa Route
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation or APSRTC launched 12 new electric busses on the Tirupati to Kadapa route in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. This measure is part of the state government’s green mobility initiative, under which 100 electric buses were approved for the APSRTC Alipiri Depot. The new buses were launched in Kadapa by APSRTC Chairman A Mallikarjun Reddy along with Kadapa Zone ED K Gopinath Reddy as well as Kadapa and Tirupati Regional Managers Gopal Reddy & T Chengal Reddy. In September of last year, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy opened the electric buses on the Ghat Road between Tirupati & Tirumala.
Sunlit Power Invests INR 100 Crore in Pune Manufacturing Unit Automation and Expansion into Indian Metro Cities
Sunlit Power, which manufactures the ARENQ brand of batteries, has announced its plans to invest INR 100 crore over the next two years to set up an automated manufacturing unit in Pune. It will be commissioned by October 2023. With an existing sales and service branch in Thiruvananthapuram, the company plans to expand its presence across Kerala, Chennai, Delhi, and Bangalore in the current financial year. Sunlit Power’s initiative towards automating its manufacturing units is just one of the many plans of the company. They are eyeing business associations with a multinational corporation (MNC) and a major 2-wheeler manufacturer.

Ohm Mobility Raises Rs 3 Crores In A Pre-Seed Funding Round
Ohm Mobility raises Rs 3 crores. Ohm Mobility is a Bengaluru-based platform that offers end-to-end EV finance. Antler India led the pre-seed round of funding. Blume Founders Fund, along with other angels such as Sagar Gubbi from Ecoforge, and Anshuman Bapa of Terra.do and Mathew Chako from Spice Route Legal and Karishma Menon also participated in the round. The funds will go towards building and scaling a technology platform that is a first in its field for the EV Financing industry. Ohm’s platform will serve as a bridge connecting EV players to a variety of financial institutions. Ohm has also been backed by Catalyst Fund – a FinTech as well as Climate Finance – and angel investors such as Kunal Shah.
Tata Motors Records Highest-ever EV Sales In India n April
When compared to April of the previous year, sales of the Tiago EV increased by 179%. As of April of last year, 2,333 homes in India were equipped with electric vehicles made by Tata Motors. ANERT Launches 5 Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Stations In Kerala
The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has inaugurated 5 Fast EV Charging Stations in the State to cater for the requirements of the ever-growing EV Market of Kerala. The installations are Chittur Thathamankalam Municipality, Palakkad, Shornur Municipality, Palakkad, Perinthalmanna Municipality, Malappuram, KTDC Aahaar Restaurant, Vadakara, Kozhikode, and KTDC Aahaaram Restaurant, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha. The inauguration was done by the Hon. Minister for Electricity Shri. K Krishnankutty at Palakkad and online at the other Districts. All the EVCI are employed with 60 kW CCS2, 60 kW Cha-De-Mo & 22 kW Type 2 AC.

Kazam, an electric mobility platform that is device-agnostic for Charge Point Operators and Fleet Operators as well as Electricity Grids has raised US$ 3.6 million from Avaana Climate Fund. Third Derivative, Inflection Point Ventures, and We Founder Circle are also investors. The company is building its flagship EV Fuelling Platform and now aims at building a one-stop electric mobility software platform – digitising the whole value chain, from managing energy on the grid to fuelling EVs to managing a Fleet. The company was founded by Akshay Shekhar (ex-PepsiCo), Vaibhav Tyagi, and Akshay, Shekhar CEO. It now manages 150,000 kWh per month, with a 10% contribution from international clients in USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
IIT Kanpur And Lohum Tie Up For Academic R&D Partnership To Advance Sustainability Of Lithium-Ion Batteries
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and Lohum Cleantech, one of India’s largest producers of sustainable energy transition materials, have announced a strategic partnership for R&D collaboration in sustainability and other core areas. Under the partnership, Professor Kanwar Singh Nalwa from the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering at IIT Kanpur will lead the team to work together with Lohum on projects focused on advancing Lithium-ion battery testing technology and techniques for battery raw material quality evaluation.
