Mahindra is now the only tractor manufacturer in Telangana, having spent over Rs 10.87 billion at Zaheerabad. The agricultural equipment sector employs about 1,500 people and has a two-shift capability of more than 100,000 tractors per year.
The Zaheerabad facility is highly advanced, having the ability to produce approximately 330 distinct tractor variations ranging in horsepower from 30 to 100 hp. Since its beginning, the company has followed the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) concept and culture, with around 65 percent of Zaheerabad’s tractor manufacturing exported abroad.
