Tata Motors just introduced the Tiago EV, the country’s most inexpensive electric vehicle. The firm is sponsoring the 2023 Indian Premier League to advertise the automobile. A video of the Tata Tiago EV’s base XE model has been published on YouTube, offering a thorough look at the all-new EV hatchback.

The current model Tiago EV is India’s most cheap EV, and the base XE version only has a modest range, with no option for a long range. In Gurgaon, Haryana, this model costs Rs 9.86 lakh.

The automobile comes with two standard keys that have no buttons or functions. One notable feature is that it cannot be differentiated from the front as a base model, despite the absence of projector headlights and fog lamps.

Tata does not provide wheel caps with the Tiago EV. Instead, it has 16-inch silver-finished steel wheels, as well as door handles and mirrors that are not painted in body color. In ICE Tiagos, the charging point is situated in the rear left quarter panel, where the usual gasoline lid is located.

There is no back wiper or defogger in Tiago EV, although there are two rear parking sensors. There is no button in the boot to open it; instead, the owner must use the key or the lever in the driver’s footwell to do it.

The inside arrangement is similar to that of the ICE Tiago, although it lacks a slew of amenities. This particular basic edition is devoid of an infotainment system and lacks power windows. It does, however, include an automated climate control system, with temperature readouts shown on the car’s digital instrument cluster.
