Volvo Car India Delivers 200th XC40 Recharge SUV And Sets Sights On All-Electric Future

Volvo Car India announced the delivery of the 200th XC40 Recharge SUV. The electric SUV is presently being built at the carmaker’s Hosakote plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka. “The delivery of the 200th XC40 Recharge represents a significant milestone. Even when global supply chain issues disrupted delivery, our clients waited patiently for their cars, showing their trust in the Volvo brand. This milestone further strengthens our resolve to become an all-electric company by 2030,” According to Jyoti Malhotra, Volvo Car India’s Managing Director. The XC40 Recharge is one of the fastest electric cars in its class, reaching 100 mph in less than five seconds. This was tested earlier this year during HT Auto’s first drive review of the XC40 Recharge. It is also one of the most powerful in its class, with a power output of 408 hp and a tremendous peak torque of 660 Nm. The XC40 Recharge, like all other Volvo vehicles, has a top speed of 180 kmph.

BSES Discoms To Set Up 900 More EV Charging Stations In Delhi

BSES discoms BRPL & BYPL have enabled the installation of approximately 2300 electric vehicle charging stations in Delhi. They are also in the process of setting up 900 more over the next few months, company officials stated. According to officials, there are 2300 charging points at more than 900 locations in south, east, central, and west Delhi. These include 1,123 private, 745 public, and 419 for captive BSES usage. According to them, the company is currently in discussions with several partners to expand its charging infrastructure. Officials at BSES stated that they will facilitate the installation and maintenance of additional charging points of 900 or more over the next few months. They also added that BSES discoms plan to convert all their vehicles to EVs by 2030.

Wika India Goes Green: All Four Factories Now Solar-Powered

The installation of solar panels at its Ghaziabad factory was announced by WIKA India, the global leader in calibration and the measurement of pressure, temperature, level, force, and flow. Nysha Mobility Tech Raises $3.5 Million In Seed Funding To Develop EV Technologies

The electric vehicle (EV) startup Nysha Mobility Tech (NMT), which is based in Bengaluru and aims to change the EV manufacturing ecosystem, has raised US$3.5 million in its seed funding round. Touchstone Ventures, Panthera Peak Capital, and a few family offices and angel investors participated in the seed round, which consisted of equity and debt. BPCL Develops Fast Charging Corridors For Electric Vehicles

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, an Indian CPSU, has announced that it is in the process of developing Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridors that would be installed across the nation. It announced the installation of EV chargers on the Delhi-Jalandhar highway. This is the country’s fourth Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridor. BPCL has developed the first three EV Rapid Charging Corridors, Chennai-Trichy-Madurai, Chennai-Bangalore, and Bangalore-Coorg. The CCS-2 fast chargers, which start at 30 Kilowatts, have been placed at 12 BPCL fuel stations along the 750-kilometer Delhi-Jalandhar National Highway. BPCL intends to convert 7,000 traditional retail stores into energy stations. They will offer a variety of fuelling alternatives.

One Electric, a Noida-based company, announced the launch of its second electric two-wheeler. It is also designed, manufactured, and built in India. Gaurav Uppal (CEO, of One Electric) said, “We are proud of launching our take on the Perfect Delivery Vehicle’ in India. Kridn XR is a crossover between a scooter and a motorcycle. It was developed with the data input from thousands of delivery vehicles that were involved in last-mile operations, which helped to determine product requirements. Each feature is essential for the delivery driver, who often works long hours and in difficult conditions every day. These features help the rider to be more efficient and safer, whether it’s big wheels that can handle potholes, a large seat to transport loads, plenty of space to store bags, or heavy-duty suspension.”

Bajaj Auto And Triumph Motorcycles Launch Next Phase In India

Triumph Motorcycles Limited and Bajaj Auto Ltd have inaugurated the second phase of their 2020 strategic relationship.
