Hero Electric partners with Shadowfax Technologies to provide electric scooters for last-mile deliveries. Hero Electric will turn around 25% of the 100,000 fleets of Shadowfax Technologies into electric vehicles with its NYX HX e-scooters.
Shadowfax Technologies plans to have 75% of its fleet be electric vehicles by 2024. The last-mile delivery fragment is growing and to cut emissions, a green mobility shift is required.
“This association will aid us in enabling carbon-free mobility in the logistics market and cater to consumer needs of last-mile delivery offered by Shadowfax,” said Naveen Munjal, Managing Director, Hero Electric.
As per him, the industry is anticipated to see growth and transformation of B2B fleets in the country with the rising infrastructure.
Abhishek Bansal, Co-founder & CEO of Shadowfax Technologies, said, “We are excited to embark on this journey of electrification of the initial 25 percent of our existing fleet with Hero Electric. In addition to boosting our pursuit of a greener, cleaner environment, it will provide earning opportunities for all.”
Policymakers are constantly encouraging businesses to shift to electric vehicles for a clean environment. Hero Electric with Sun Mobility to deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers with swappable battery technology by the end of 2022. The owners of Hero Electric can use this facility.
Hero Electric is expanding its research and development facilities for manufacturing updated versions of low-speed, city-speed, and high-speed vehicles. The new facility can be used on a Pay-Per-Use model.
