Tata Motors Delivers 712 EVs In Maharashtra And Goa On One Single Day
In the biggest single-day delivery ever seen in the country, Tata Motors – India’s leading automobile company along with its dealer partners, today delivered 712 EVs (564 Nexon EVs and 148 Tigor EVs) to individual customers in Maharashtra and Goa. With a commanding market share of 87% (11M, FY 22) and over 21500 Tata EVs on road till date, Tata Motors is playing a leading role in proactively driving the adoption of electric mobility in the country. The Nexon EV, an aspirational SUV, delivers an anxiety-free long-range (ARAI certified range of 312km) on a single charge with zero emissions. It is equipped with a powerful and high-efficiency 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor, powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.
EKA Unveils Its Electric Bus, E9
The Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Maharashtra Government, Aaditya Thackeray, with Chairman of the EKA and Pinnacle Industries Limited at the Pune Alternate Fuel, Sudhir Mehta unveils EKA’s first electric bus, E9. E9 offers fast acceleration, greater traction power, more horsepower, 17% grade ability, a regenerative braking system, and a 200 KW electric motor. EKA is an electric vehicle manufacturing & technology company and also a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries. EKA’s battery-electric bus has upgraded its vehicle design and has maximized range and power.

Jio-bp and TVS Motor Company to Collaborate on EV Solutions
Jio-bp and TVS Motor Company announced that they have agreed to explore the creation of a robust public EV charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the country, building on Jio-bp’s growing network in this space. Under this proposed partnership, the customers of TVS electric vehicles are expected to get access to the widespread charging network of Jio-bp, which is also open to other vehicles. Leveraging the strength of both companies, the said partnership aims at creating a regular AC charging network and a DC fast-charging network. This will align with Jio-bp and TVS’ commitment to providing vast and reliable charging infrastructure to their customers.
India’s EV Market To Record 2.4% CAGR From 2020 To 2025 – Report
A recent analysis finds that continuous innovation and development in the automotive industry is boosting the demand for automotive electronics. Its increasing use in various vehicular applications, such as active and passive safety, infotainment, body electronics, and advanced driver assistance systems, contributes to its rapid market expansion worldwide, including in India. Short- and medium-term technologies, sensors, and actuators in the Indian automotive electronics market will likely unlock opportunities worth $9,214.7 million for suppliers by 2025.
Triton EV To Set Up Manufacturing Unit In Gujarat
Triton Electric Vehicle LLC, a USA-based company signs an agreement with the government of Gujarat and will invest Rs 10,800 crore to set up a manufacturing unit at Bhuj, Kutch. The plant will be spread across 645 acres of land and which manufacture 50,000 trucks in a year. Gujarat government will provide necessary approvals and assist in the registration process under the agreement terms. In the current financial year, Triton EV will invest Rs 1,200 crore to set up the plant. The unit will also create various direct and indirect job opportunities for about 10,000 people.
India Needs To Add 48,000 EV Chargers In 3-4 Years To Meet Its Demand, Says Study
A report expects a healthy electric vehicle (EV) penetration in India over the next five years, especially in the e-2W, e-3W, and e-bus segments. The penetration of e-2Ws is expected to be at about 13-15% of new vehicle sales by FY2025. Likewise, the e-3W and e-bus segment penetrations are expected to be greater than 30% and about 8- 10% of new vehicle sales respectively by FY2025. In order to achieve healthy EV penetration, expansion of charging infrastructure will play a critical role. Currently, there are only less than 2,000 public charging stations in India with a concentration in a few states and that too primarily in urban areas.
Omega Seiki Mobility, Log9 Materials to Jointly Invest Rs 150 Cr in Charging Infra
EV maker Omega Seiki Mobility and advanced battery technology startup Log9 Materials will jointly invest Rs 150 crore in charging infrastructure by financial year 2024. Besides, the two entities will deploy 10,000 fast-charging Rage+ cargo three-wheelers across Tier-II/III markers by FY24 under a strategic collaboration. Log9 already has a tie-up with OSM for its rapid charging technology, InstaCharge. Supporting these electric cargo three-wheelers, both the companies will facilitate deployment of InstaCharging stations that can fully charge a 3-wheeler within 35 minutes as compared to up to 3.5 hours taken by conventional electric three-wheelers, a release said on Thursday.
