Shri Nitin Gadkari launches the world’s most advanced technology – developed Green Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Toyota Mirai, the first of its kind project in India which aims to create a Green Hydrogen based ecosystem in the country. Delhi To Get 100 New EV Charging Stations By June 27
Delhi to get 100 new electric vehicle charging stations on prime locations out of which 71 would be at metro stations by June 27 as per Power Minister Satyendar Jain. The charges would be Rs 2 per unit which is the lowest in our country. The EV charging stations would be built on a public-private-partnership model where the government will provide cabling, transmission infrastructure, and land and the company will provide manpower and equipment. The deals will be signed by April 8. Currently, Delhi has 400 EV charging points which are owned by private as well as government companies. The locations have been chosen based on a survey by the government.
DDL With Battery Smart To Set Up Battery Swap Stations Across North Delhi
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (DDL) partners with Battery Smart to set up battery swap stations for electric two and three-wheelers across North Delhi. The first such swap station is already operational at Azadpur, the busiest marketplace of Delhi. DDL has an extensive infrastructure and large power capacity which will assist Battery Smart to have high capacity swap stations at prime locations for the growing electric vehicle market. Tata Power Delhi Distribution is a leading power distribution company that distributes electricity to a populace of over seven million in North Delhi. Battery Smart is building India’s largest and fastest-growing battery-swapping network for electric two and three-wheelers.
Bounce Infinity To Set Up 300 EV Charging Stations
Bounce Infinity to set up 300 EV charging stations each in 10 cities of India for Greaves Retail. With this collaboration, Greaves Retail becomes the first company to partner with Bounce Infinity for a battery swapping network. Bengaluru will be the pilot city of the collaboration and EV charging stations will be set up for both electric three-wheelers as well electric two-wheelers. The EV charging stations will be set up at petrol bunks, cafes, restaurants, corporate offices, Kirana stores, residential complexes, etc, and will supply power to the electric vehicles produced by Greaves.
Tata Motors Plans To Invest Rs 15,000 Crore In EV Division
Tata Motors wants to invest Rs 15,000 crore in the electric vehicle segment in 5 years. Tata Motors is a leader in the EV segment and has offered Nexon. The company also plans to have about 10 more EVs in this industry. President for Passenger Vehicles Business of Tata Motors Shailesh Chandra said, “As far as future is concerned, in next five (years) we will invest Rs 15,000 crore in electrification. We are going to work on nearly 10 products with different kinds of body styles, price, driving range options.” Tata Motors recently raised USD 1 billion funs from TPG for the EV segment. There is a need to boost the development of the infrastructure of the electric vehicle with charging units. The company has around 400 EV charging stations in Maharashtra.
