Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited partners with Battery Smart to enable a robust EV Infrastructure

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (DDL) partners with Battery Smart to set up battery swap stations for electric two and three-wheelers across North Delhi. The first such swap station is already operational at Azadpur, the busiest marketplace of Delhi.

DDL has an extensive infrastructure and large power capacity which will assist Battery Smart to have high capacity swap stations at prime locations for the growing electric vehicle market.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution is a leading power distribution company that distributes electricity to a populace of over seven million in North Delhi. Battery Smart is building India’s largest and fastest-growing battery-swapping network for electric two and three-wheelers.

Battery Smart’s Co-Founder, Siddharth Sikka, said, “We are extremely excited to work with Tata Power Delhi to continue accelerating EV adoption in India. This is a significant milestone for us as we have been growing at 10X since last July, and this association will provide us access to existing infrastructure and power requirements to scale our business further.”

This partnership will support the ‘Switch Delhi’ campaign by creating a network of swap stations across the city with features like affordable, low charging cost, accessible batteries within minutes, and also back the eco-friendly economy in the country.
