Hero Electric To Provide Fast-Charging EV Battery Packs

Hero Electric partners with Log9 Materials for providing fast-charging electric vehicle battery packs. With the ‘RapidX’ batteries of Log9, Hero Electric’s two-wheelers can fully charge within 15 minutes. Log9 Materials is a Bengaluru-based startup that provides battery solutions.

Log9 has previously tested RapidX batteries with companies like Amazon, Delhivery, BykeMania, Shadowfax, and Flipkart. Its batteries provide 9x better performance, 9x battery life, 9x lower battery degradation, and 9x faster charging.

“Our InstaCharge batteries on Hero vehicle platform will provide the ‘power, performance and peace of mind’ for the B2B last-mile delivery sector and will benefit the cause of reducing operational costs as well as lowering emissions,” said Dr. Akshay Singhal, Founder, and CEO, Log9 Materials.

Log9 and Hero Electric will deploy RapidX batteries with Battery-as-a-Service (BASS) and outright sales business models in the market.

“Some of the B2B businesses wanted to run the bikes continuously for long hours with a minimal interruption in their delivery operations. It is for such customers that we now offer bikes with the Log9 batteries that can be fast-charged while the driver is having his cup of tea,” said Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric.
