Kia India has introduced the Model Year 2026 (MY26) update of its Carens Clavis EV, bringing significant enhancements in seating flexibility, design, and technology. The latest update adds a new 6-seater configuration with second-row captain seats alongside the existing 7-seater layout, catering to evolving customer preferences for comfort and practicality.
The MY26 Carens Clavis EV also sees the expansion of its variant lineup with the introduction of GT-Line and X-Line trims in the Extended Range version. These trims are available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations and are designed to offer a more distinctive and premium appeal. While the GT-Line variants (GTX and GTX+) feature sporty elements such as new alloy wheels, lime brake calipers, and metal pedals, the X-Line adopts a more rugged styling with an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior finish and Aurora Black Pearl colour option.
In terms of features, higher trims like GTX+ and X-Line are equipped with advanced technologies including Digital Key and battery heater functionality. Standard Range variants have also been updated with newly designed 16-inch black high-gloss aero alloy wheels.
The newly introduced 6-seater configuration is available across multiple trims, including HTX (E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X-Line, offering enhanced passenger comfort and a more premium in-cabin experience. Meanwhile, the 7-seater option continues to be offered in select trims, providing flexibility for larger families.
Commenting on the update, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said that the MY26 version reflects customer feedback, focusing on improved comfort, versatile seating, and distinctive design while maintaining practicality for everyday use.
