Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has announced its largest-ever export order, securing a contract to supply 35,000 units of Scorpio Pik Up light commercial vehicles to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise, during 2026. The landmark order is expected to significantly strengthen Mahindra’s international operations and expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.
The vehicles will be deployed under Indonesia’s Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) Project, a national initiative aimed at strengthening rural cooperatives and enhancing agricultural supply chains. Mahindra said the Scorpio Pik Ups will play a key role in improving logistics for cooperatives by enabling efficient transportation of fresh produce from farms to markets.
Mahindra and Agrinas Pangan Nusantara will collaborate to equip rural cooperatives with reliable logistics solutions, helping bridge the gap between farmers and consumers. The partnership is designed to support Indonesia’s national food security transformation and promote village-level commerce by strengthening last-mile and intra-village supply networks.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting national priorities and enabling rural prosperity. He noted that the export volume under the deal is equivalent to Mahindra’s total export volumes in FY2025, marking a significant milestone for the company’s global business.
Manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik plant, the Scorpio Pik Up is known for its durability, high payload capacity, and low operating costs, making it suitable for challenging rural terrains and demanding commercial applications. The vehicles will be used for first-mile aggregation, intra-village logistics, and cooperative distribution networks across Indonesia.
