Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially opened reservations for its new VF MPV 7, a premium seven-seater electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026. The company aims to tap into Indonesia’s rapidly growing MPV segment, driven by rising demand for spacious, family-oriented electric mobility solutions.
The VF MPV 7 is positioned as a premium evolution of VinFast’s Limo Green platform and is designed for urban families seeking comfort, safety, and advanced technology. The vehicle features a modern exterior with VinFast’s signature V-shaped LED daytime running lights, electrically adjustable mirrors with integrated turn indicators, and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Measuring 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, the electric MPV offers generous interior space for seven passengers. The cabin features a user-centric cockpit layout with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control with PM2.5 air filtration, and synthetic leather upholstery. Cargo space can be expanded up to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.
Powering the VF MPV 7 is a 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor producing 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.2 kWh battery pack that delivers a driving range of up to 450 km on a full charge (NEDC). The model supports fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes.
The vehicle also features a smart virtual assistant, mobile app-based remote monitoring, and a suite of safety technologies, including rear parking assist, cruise control, and a reinforced body structure.
The VF MPV 7 is priced at IDR 420 million (including battery) and IDR 345 million under a battery subscription model in Jakarta. VinFast’s battery subscription plan charges IDR 880,000 per month for up to 2,000 km and IDR 1,350,000 for distances beyond 2,000 km.
To attract early adopters, the first 2,000 customers will receive IDR 16 million in cash incentives, along with free charging at V-Green charging stations and complimentary accessories such as floor mats, window tinting, and a wall-mounted charger.
Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said the model has been developed to meet the needs of Indonesia’s multi-generational families and aims to set a new benchmark in the MPV segment. He added that the launch reinforces VinFast’s commitment to expanding sustainable mobility solutions in the country.
VinFast has been expanding its presence in Indonesia with a growing EV lineup, a local manufacturing facility in Subang, and investments in charging infrastructure, dealerships, and financial partnerships to accelerate electric vehicle adoption.
