Euler Motors, a leading player in India’s electric commercial vehicle (EV) segment, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jio-bp, the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Limited — a joint venture between Reliance Industries and bp — to collaborate on the expansion of EV charging infrastructure across high-demand logistics hubs nationwide.
The strategic partnership aims to improve charging accessibility for fleet operators, accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles, and support India’s broader clean mobility ambitions.
The MoU was signed by Rubin Pather, Head of Electric Mobility at Jio-bp, and Ashish Tandon, Global Head of Customer Excellence at Euler Motors, in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations.
As Euler Motors scales up deployment of its newly launched Euler TURBO EV 1000 Fast Charge and Euler Storm EV Fast Charge models, access to reliable and widespread charging infrastructure has become critical to enhancing fleet efficiency and asset utilisation. Jio-bp currently operates nearly 7,000 charge points across more than 1,000 locations, making it India’s largest EV charging network, which includes the country’s first 480 kW charger equipped with liquid-cooled guns.
Under the partnership, the two companies will jointly identify high-potential logistics and fleet-heavy business hubs requiring targeted charging infrastructure deployment. Euler Motors will facilitate customer engagements by introducing Jio-bp to existing and prospective fleet operators interested in hosting charging stations, enabling faster site feasibility assessments and installations. Additionally, Jio-bp will leverage its Trans-Connect platform to connect Euler Motors with its extensive fleet customer base, accelerating commercial EV adoption and supporting India’s energy transition.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, Jio-bp, said, “India’s transition towards sustainable mobility requires strong collaboration between vehicle innovation and energy infrastructure. Our partnership with Euler Motors reflects a shared commitment to accelerating the electrification of commercial logistics, which will play a decisive role in reducing urban emissions and improving freight efficiency.”
Akshay Wadhwa, CEO, Jio-bp, added, “We are focused on building a dependable, high-performance charging network that supports the operational realities of commercial EV fleets. Through this collaboration, we aim to align Jio-bp pulse charging infrastructure with specialized electric cargo mobility solutions, enabling fleet operators to transition confidently to electric mobility.”
Ashish Tandon, Global Head of Customer Excellence, Euler Motors, stated, “This MoU brings together two partners committed to addressing the critical challenge of charging accessibility for commercial EVs. Through coordinated efforts and shared insights, we aim to deliver impactful business solutions for our customers while strengthening India’s EV ecosystem.”
Gaurav Kumar, Director – Board, Euler Motors, said, “Scaling electric mobility in the commercial vehicle segment requires charging infrastructure to grow in step with vehicle deployment. This partnership will help build a robust infrastructure backbone, enabling fleet operators to improve uptime, asset utilisation, and operating efficiency as they transition to electric mobility across India.”
