VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), the joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, reported strong sales growth in January 2026, driven by robust demand across its Eicher-branded trucks and buses as well as a sharp rise in exports.
The company sold a total of 10,601 units in January 2026, marking a 24.9 percent increase compared to 8,489 units sold in January 2025. Of the total, 10,430 units were from the Eicher brand, while 171 units were sold under the Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses portfolio.
Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded 25.3 percent growth year-on-year, with sales rising from 8,322 units in January 2025 to 10,430 units in January 2026. In the domestic commercial vehicle market, Eicher sales stood at 9,729 units, up 23.6 percent from 7,872 units a year earlier, reflecting steady demand across key freight and passenger transport segments.
Exports emerged as a major growth driver for VECV during the month. The company recorded export sales of 701 units, a sharp 55.8 percent increase over 450 units sold in January 2025, underlining growing acceptance of VECV products in international markets.
Meanwhile, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses posted sales of 171 units in January 2026, marginally higher than the 167 units sold in the same month last year, registering a 2.4 percent growth.
