Kinetic has announced a strategic technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, marking a significant step in advancing connected electric mobility in India. Under this collaboration, Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV)—the electric mobility arm of Kinetic Engineering Ltd.—will integrate next-generation connected technologies across its upcoming portfolio of electric two-wheelers.

The partnership aims to embed advanced IoT-enabled features into all future Kinetic electric scooters, enhancing rider experience, safety, and vehicle intelligence. The integration will leverage Jio Things’ full-stack IoT ecosystem, including edge devices, secure connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote device management, and aftermarket support.

Key connected features to be introduced include voice-assisted controls, smart digital instrument clusters, real-time vehicle connectivity, ride analytics, diagnostics, and intelligent infotainment and safety systems. These capabilities are designed to deliver a more intuitive, reliable, and data-driven riding experience for users.

For individual consumers, the connected solutions will offer greater convenience, improved safety, and real-time vehicle insights, enabling stress-free daily commuting. For commercial and fleet operators, the deployment of advanced telematics will support performance monitoring, operational analytics, and predictive maintenance, helping to reduce downtime, enhance operational efficiency, and improve overall fleet reliability, particularly in last-mile delivery applications.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., said that the partnership aligns closely with Kinetic’s vision of democratising innovation and mobility. He added that the introduction of voice assistance and connected technologies strengthens Kinetic’s “Easy” ownership philosophy, complementing existing customer-centric features such as Easy Key, Easy Flip, and Easy Charge, which are designed to simplify EV adoption in India.

The partnership brings together Kinetic’s engineering and manufacturing expertise with Jio’s leadership in digital connectivity and IoT, positioning the company at the forefront of India’s rapidly evolving EV ecosystem. With a shared objective of making connected electric mobility scalable, affordable, and accessible, the collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart transportation in the country.
