Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) has reached a major production milestone with the rollout of its five-millionth vehicle at its Nošovice plant, underscoring the facility’s growing role in Hyundai’s European manufacturing and electrification strategy.

The milestone vehicle was a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (GO Czech edition), delivered directly to a Czech customer who participated in the final stages of the vehicle’s assembly. Hyundai said the symbolic handover reflected the plant’s technological maturity and long-term stability within Europe’s automotive manufacturing ecosystem.

Since beginning operations, the Nošovice plant has produced vehicles for customers in more than 90 countries, with Europe accounting for the majority of exports. The Tucson remains the dominant model at the facility, with its current and previous generations together accounting for nearly half of the plant’s total output. Other models manufactured at the site include the i30 range, Kona Electric, ix35, ix20, and Kia Venga.

Hyundai’s transition towards sustainable mobility at Nošovice gained momentum in 2020 with the start of electrified vehicle production, including the Kona Electric, the first mass-produced electric vehicle manufactured in the Czech Republic. Since then, the plant has produced over 650,000 electrified vehicles, which now represent more than 50 per cent of total production.

The company continues to invest heavily in modernisation and sustainability initiatives. A new on-site photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of up to 5 MWp has been completed, while 118 electric vehicle charging points will be commissioned in the first half of the year. Hyundai is also expanding automation across production lines, introducing advanced quality inspection systems and planning automated paint defect detection later this year.

For 2026, Hyundai expects production at the Nošovice facility to reach nearly 265,000 vehicles, with electrified models accounting for around half of total output. The plant also plays an increasing role in vehicle development, contributing significantly to the engineering of new electric models.

Hyundai announced that Sanghoon Yoon has taken charge as President of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech from January 1, 2026, succeeding Changki Lee, who has been appointed Head of the Ulsan Production Division in Korea.

In 2025, the Nošovice plant produced 276,175 vehicles, with electrified models making up more than half of total output, reinforcing Hyundai’s commitment to sustainable and future-ready manufacturing in Europe.
