TVS Motor Company reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, revenue, and profits for the third quarter of FY26, driven by strong domestic and international demand across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and electric vehicles.
The company’s operating revenue rose 37 percent year-on-year to Rs. 12,476 crore for the quarter ended December 2025, compared with Rs. 9,097 crore in the same period last year. Operating EBITDA surged 51 percent to Rs. 1,634 crore, while profit before tax (PBT), excluding exceptional items, climbed 57 percent to Rs. 1,315 crore. The EBITDA margin improved to a record 13.1 percent, up from a normalized margin of 12.4 percent a year earlier.
Record vehicle sales across segments
TVS Motor recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales volume, with total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales—including international operations—rising 27 percent to 15.44 lakh units in the December 2025 quarter.
Motorcycle sales grew 31 percent to 7.26 lakh units, while scooter sales increased 25 percent to 6.14 lakh units. International two-wheeler sales rose 35 percent to 3.66 lakh units, reflecting strong demand across key overseas markets. Three-wheeler sales more than doubled, surging 106 percent to 0.60 lakh units during the quarter.
Electric vehicle sales hit new high
Electric vehicle (EV) sales continued their upward trajectory, growing 40 percent year-on-year to a record 1.06 lakh units in the quarter, underscoring accelerating adoption of TVS Motor’s electric mobility portfolio.
Strong performance for nine-month period
For the nine months ended December 2025, TVS Motor’s operating revenue increased 29 percent to Rs. 34,463 crore, while operating EBITDA rose 41 percent to Rs. 4,406 crore. PBT before exceptional items climbed 43 percent to Rs. 3,594 crore, and profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs. 2,625 crore, up from Rs. 1,858 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Cumulative vehicle sales for the nine-month period reached 43.28 lakh units, a 23 percent increase year-on-year. Motorcycle sales rose 24 percent, scooter sales increased 25 percent, and international two-wheeler sales grew 35 percent. Electric vehicle sales for the period expanded 26 percent to 2.56 lakh units.
Expanding global footprint
TVS Motor continues to strengthen its global presence across 80 countries, supported by its manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia. The company also maintains a growing footprint in premium motorcycles through its UK-based subsidiary Norton Motorcycles, while its European subsidiary TVS Ebike Company AG holds a leading position in Switzerland’s e-bike market.
