Volvo Trucks has announced large new orders from HayWay Group, a fast-growing logistics company operating across Europe and the United States, marking a significant expansion of their long-term partnership.
Under the agreement, HayWay Logistics has placed an order for 80 all-new Volvo VNL 860 sleeper trucks, representing its first-ever deployment of trucks in the United States. The fleet will be used for long-haul operations, transporting general cargo between Southern California and New York for a major e-commerce retailer.
The trucks will be serviced through TEC Equipment – Fontana, Volvo’s largest dealership group on the U.S. West Coast.
In addition to the U.S. order, HayWay Group has also confirmed the purchase of 150 Volvo FH Aero trucks in Poland through its subsidiary SIS Trans, strengthening Volvo’s presence in the European heavy-duty truck market.
HayWay Group, which currently operates 19 companies across Europe and the U.S., has outlined ambitious growth plans to expand its fleet to 1,400 vehicles by 2029, in collaboration with Volvo Trucks and Volvo Financial Services.
Peter Voorhoeve, President of Volvo Trucks North America, said the decision reflects strong confidence in Volvo’s brand and technology.
HayWay Group’s entry into the U.S. market with 80 Volvo VNL trucks is a bold step and a strong endorsement of our products. It builds on our long-standing relationship in Europe, and we are proud to support their expansion, he said.
Artur Lewandowski, Chief Executive Officer of HayWay Group, described the move as a milestone for the company.
Launching our U.S. operations with the Volvo VNL reflects our commitment to safety, performance and early adoption of advanced technologies. This is a confident step toward building a sustainable and strong presence in the American logistics market, he said.
Volvo Trucks said the deal highlights its growing role as a global transport solutions provider, supported by its extensive dealer network of over 2,200 service points in around 130 countries.
In 2024, Volvo delivered approximately 134,000 trucks worldwide and continues to focus on innovation, safety and environmental responsibility as part of the Volvo Group’s long-term strategy.
