VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, reported total sales of 10,384 units in December 2025, registering a 24.7 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 8,324 units sold in December 2024.
The overall performance was largely driven by strong demand for Eicher branded trucks and buses, which recorded sales of 10,177 units in December 2025, up 26.7 per cent from 8,035 units in the same month last year.
In the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) market, Eicher trucks and buses achieved sales of 9,527 units, compared with 7,545 units in December 2024, reflecting a growth of 26.3 per cent. On the exports front, VECV reported sales of 650 units, marking a 32.7 per cent increase over 490 units sold in December 2024.
In contrast, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses recorded sales of 207 units during December 2025, down from 289 units a year earlier, representing a 28.4 per cent decline.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited operates as a multi-brand, multi-division company offering Eicher branded trucks and buses, Volvo Buses, exclusive distribution of Volvo Trucks in India, as well as engine manufacturing and export operations for the Volvo Group. Since commencing operations in 2008, VECV has played a key role in modernizing India’s commercial transportation sector through innovation-led products and services.
The December sales performance highlights continued momentum for the Eicher brand in both domestic and export markets, even as the premium Volvo segment faced short-term headwinds.
