SAIC Motor announced that its cumulative vehicle sales from January to November reached 4.108 million units, surpassing the full-year sales of 2024 and marking a robust 16.4% year-on-year growth. The performance was powered by a strong surge in new energy vehicles (NEVs) and rapid expansion across global markets.

SAIC’s self-owned brands continued to anchor growth, contributing 2.666 million units, up 25.7% year-on-year and accounting for nearly 65% of the company’s total sales.

NEVs remained the standout category, with 1.499 million units sold in the first eleven months—an impressive 38.8% rise compared to last year.

NEV Growth Accelerates With New Models and Technology

In November alone, SAIC Motor recorded 209,000 NEV sales, setting a new monthly record and registering 19.7% growth year-on-year.

IM Motors delivered 13,000 NEVs in November, marking its third straight month above the 10,000-unit milestone. The brand’s new LS6 and LS9 models—equipped with Stellar Super Range Extender technology—have gained traction in the competitive ¥200,000–¥300,000 EV segments.

SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle reported a remarkable 277.2% jump in NEV sales, with 42,000 units sold. The company also launched the MG4 with a semi-solid-state battery, featuring safety performance 20% above industry standards. Deliveries begin in December.

Maxus sold more than 8,000 NEVs, growing 196% year-on-year, boosted by its RoboVAN and RoboBUS autonomous models showcased at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

Joint-venture operations also strengthened the NEV portfolio:

  • SAIC-GM: 11,000 NEVs (+60.4%)
  • SAIC-GM-Wuling: 120,000 NEVs, with the Wuling Bingo family surpassing 600,000 cumulative sales

Overseas Sales Continue Steady Rise

SAIC Motor’s overseas sales totaled 107,000 units in November, up 13.9%, bringing Jan–Nov overseas deliveries to 969,000 units (+3.4%).

MG remained a major driver of overseas growth:

  • 285,000 units delivered in Europe (+25% YoY)
  • Strong surges in Spain (+58%), France (+57%), and Poland (+138%)
  • In the UK, cumulative MG EV sales crossed 100,000 units

MG’s electric lineup—including MG4, MGS5, MG IM5, MG IM6, and the MG Cyberster—continues to gain momentum across global markets.

Future Outlook: Solid-State Batteries and Intelligent Platforms

SAIC Motor stated that its sales structure and operating efficiency are improving as it accelerates digital transformation and smart manufacturing reforms. The company aims to advance breakthroughs in solid-state batteries, digital chassis, high-efficiency powertrains, intelligent driving, and smart cockpit systems.

With continued innovation and expanding global reach, SAIC Motor is targeting strong full-year growth and reinforcing its ambition to become a world-class automotive group with global influence.
