Lexus has unveiled the all-electric LFA Concept, a flagship BEV sports car designed to preserve the brand’s high-performance heritage while embracing next-generation electrification. The vehicle, inspired by the legendary Lexus LFA and developed alongside Toyota Gazoo Racing’s GR GT and GR GT3 programs, was revealed globally as Lexus’ boldest step yet toward premium electric performance.

Driven by Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda’s vision to protect and pass on core car-making skills, the Lexus LFA Concept embodies “Toyota’s Shikinen Sengu”—a philosophy of preserving craftsmanship by continuously renewing and evolving it. The result is a BEV sports car engineered to deliver exceptional driving dynamics, sculptural beauty, and a deeply immersive driving experience.

The concept is built around three performance pillars: a low center of gravity, lightweight yet rigid construction, and advanced aerodynamics. Lexus has equipped the LFA Concept with a high-rigidity all-aluminum frame, an ideal racing-inspired driving position, and packaging unique to electric propulsion. These elements create a fusion of agility, aerodynamic efficiency, and timeless coupe proportions.

Externally, the BEV concept inherits the emotional, flowing silhouette of the original LFA, refined for the electric era. The sleek nose-to-tail profile and wide stance reflect both aerodynamic function and visual drama. Inside, the cockpit follows a minimalist, driver-centric philosophy. With controls arranged for intuitive operation and a racing-style steering setup, the cabin enhances car-driver unity—an experience Lexus calls “Discover Immersion.”

The LFA Concept shares structural principles and design aspirations with the GR GT and GR GT3 race cars, signaling Lexus’ intention to bring motorsport-inspired electrification to future production models. Key dimensions of the concept include a length of 4,690 mm, width of 2,040 mm, height of 1,195 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,725 mm.

Originally teased as the “Lexus Sport Concept” during Monterey Car Week 2025 and the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the model now appears with its official name and partial specifications. Lexus says the LFA Concept symbolizes the technologies and craftsmanship its engineers must preserve and evolve as it transitions into a fully electrified performance future.

With this reveal, Lexus continues strengthening its position in premium BEV development, contributing to Toyota’s broader “Beyond Zero” vision for carbon neutrality and sustainable mobility.
