Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd. (GEML) has expanded its partnership with Alt Mobility to strengthen electric vehicle adoption in India’s B2B and last-mile delivery sector. The collaboration focuses on supplying and leasing Ampere Magnus SW S electric scooters, a model designed specifically for commercial use. Under the agreement, GEML will provide the scooters while Alt Mobility will procure and lease them to fleet operators and delivery partners through its ecosystem. This move is seen as an important step in GEML’s strategy to grow its presence in India’s commercial electric vehicle market.
Alt Mobility currently operates over 700 Magnus SW S scooters across Delhi and Bengaluru and plans to scale its fleet further in the coming months with support from GEML. The partnership aims to provide businesses with cost-effective, zero-emission mobility solutions while improving operational efficiency for delivery and logistics operations. The Ampere Magnus SW S scooters will be made available through Alt Mobility’s Drive-to-Own model, allowing gig workers, fleet operators, and delivery partners to access reliable EVs without the burden of upfront ownership costs.
The Magnus SW S is manufactured at Ampere’s facility in Ranipet and incorporates features tailored for commercial use. It includes a dual-frame chassis capable of carrying up to 200 kilograms, 165 mm ground clearance, 12-inch tires, and a high-performance motor. The scooters are equipped with IoT-enabled features to support fleet management and monitoring. To ensure long-term reliability, the vehicles come with a warranty of up to three years or 75,000 kilometers and are backed by more than 500 Ampere Care service points across India.
The partnership is also supported by Indofast Energy, which provides the necessary energy infrastructure, including battery-swapping solutions, to enhance fleet uptime. This ensures that operators can maintain consistent operations while benefiting from the efficiency of electric mobility.
Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility, said the collaboration with Alt Mobility aligns with GEML’s vision to strengthen India’s B2B ecosystem with sustainable and efficient electric mobility solutions. He highlighted that the partnership aims to make EVs accessible and practical for businesses, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting India’s transition toward clean transportation. By combining GEML’s experience and Alt Mobility’s leasing model, the initiative is expected to accelerate the adoption of electric two-wheelers in the country, contributing to greener and more sustainable urban logistics.
This collaboration demonstrates the growing momentum of electric mobility in India’s commercial sector, highlighting the importance of partnerships in scaling EV adoption and creating a future-ready transportation ecosystem.
