Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has officially unveiled the production-ready Tata Sierra, marking the return of one of India’s most iconic SUVs at the grand Sierra Brand Day event. Blending nostalgia with cutting-edge innovation, the new Tata Sierra rekindles the spirit of the 1991 classic while reimagining it for modern adventurers.
Presented during a curated evening of culture, design, and brand collaborations, the event celebrated the Sierra’s journey over three decades—from a pioneering lifestyle SUV to a future-ready machine. The production-ready Sierra, set for launch on 25 November 2025, reflects Tata’s design philosophy of freedom, individuality, and exploration.
Martin Uhlarik, Vice President and Head of Global Design at Tata Motors and Executive Director of TMDTC, said the Sierra represents far more than a model revival.
“The Tata Sierra is a living symbol of Indian ingenuity and aspiration,” he said. “Reimagining a legend is not an act of nostalgia alone—it’s a testament to courageous design and the desire to create something that resonates across generations.”
With its timeless silhouette and contemporary styling cues, the new Sierra pays homage to its roots while adopting modern proportions, advanced technologies, and an unmistakable emotional appeal.
A Celebration of Indian Creativity: Sierra x Originals Collaborations
To elevate the unveiling, Tata Motors showcased exclusive collaborations with prominent Indian brands, each interpreting the Sierra’s ethos through their creative lens.
• Delhi Watch Company – Craft Meets Character
A limited-edition Sierra-inspired timepiece draws from the SUV’s signature elements like the B-pillar and hidden horse motif. Only 500 numbered pieces will be produced, symbolizing timeless craftsmanship.
• DIVINE – Freedom in Every Beat
Hip-hop artist DIVINE features the Sierra in his new track “You & I”, portraying the SUV as a symbol of confidence, originality, and unfiltered expression.
• Gully Labs – Designed to Express
