Ola Electric has announced the commencement of test rides for its new 4680 Bharat Cell–powered vehicles across flagship stores in India. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) becomes the company’s first model to feature the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack, promising higher range, superior performance, and enhanced safety.
The milestone comes shortly after Ola Electric secured ARAI certification under the latest AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for its 5.2 kWh 4680 Bharat Cell packs. The certification marks a critical step in localizing advanced EV battery manufacturing in India.
An Ola Electric spokesperson said the new technology represents “a major leap in India’s EV journey,” adding that customer test rides mark the arrival of the “future of performance, range, and safety on Indian roads.” The company said the achievement reinforces its commitment to technological self-reliance and accelerating the nation’s shift toward sustainable mobility.
The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is equipped with a 13 kW motor, delivering rapid acceleration from 0–40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds. It offers an impressive 320 km IDC range (with DIY mode), along with four ride modes — Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. Safety features include category-first dual ABS and front and rear disc brakes.
Additionally, the scooter gets upgraded ergonomics and design elements such as a two-tone seat with supportive foam, body-coloured mirrors, a new die-cast aluminium grab handle, rim decals, and a refreshed colour palette featuring Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue, and Midnight Blue.
Ola Electric currently offers a wide portfolio of S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. Its premium S1 Gen 3 lineup includes the S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh and 4 kWh) and S1 Pro (4 kWh and 3 kWh), priced at ₹1,90,338, ₹1,70,338, ₹1,44,999, and ₹1,24,999 respectively. Mass-market offerings include the S1 X+ (4 kWh) and S1 X models (2 kWh, 3 kWh, 4 kWh), with prices starting at ₹84,999.
The sports scooter range features the S1 Pro Sport in 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh variants, available for reservation at ₹999. The Roadster motorcycle lineup includes the Roadster X+ (4.5 kWh) and Roadster X models (2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh), priced between ₹99,999 and ₹1,29,999.
