Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed the name of its next-generation all-electric SUV — the Mahindra XEV 9S, a bold and spacious 7-seater electric SUV built on the company’s advanced INGLO skateboard architecture. The XEV 9S will make its world premiere during Mahindra’s ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru.
The unveiling comes as Mahindra celebrates one year since launching its first two Electric Origin SUVs, marking a major expansion in the brand’s all-electric portfolio.
Unlike re-engineered internal combustion vehicles, the XEV 9S is “born electric”, purpose-built on the INGLO platform that enables a flat-floor layout and a low centre of gravity. This design enhances stability, performance, and interior flexibility, allowing for features such as sliding second-row seats and increased legroom for passengers.
Described as “big, bold, and authentic,” the XEV 9S is designed to deliver powerful electric performance along with superior comfort and space, making it ideal for large families seeking a sustainable, premium driving experience.
Mahindra says the XEV 9S embodies its philosophy of “making space for everything you love” — combining practicality, technology, and performance without compromise.
The ‘Scream Electric’ event will not only showcase the new XEV 9S but also celebrate Mahindra’s growing INGLO EV portfolio and its commitment to expanding India’s electric mobility landscape.

The INGLO platform, unveiled in 2022, underpins Mahindra’s future EV lineup and is known for its modular flexibility, high energy efficiency, and advanced safety standards.
