TVS Motor Company has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, revenue, and profits in the second quarter of FY2025–26, marking a major milestone in its growth trajectory. The company posted an operating revenue of ₹11,905 crore, a 29% jump compared to ₹9,228 crore in the same quarter last year.
Operating EBITDA stood at ₹1,509 crore, up 40% year-on-year, with margins improving by 100 basis points to 12.7%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose by 37% to ₹1,226 crore, despite a fair valuation loss of ₹31 crore on investments, compared to a ₹23 crore gain in Q2FY25.
Record Sales Performance
TVS achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales of 15.07 lakh units, representing a 23% growth over 12.28 lakh units sold in Q2FY25.
- Motorcycles grew 20% to 6.73 lakh units.
- Scooters surged 30% to 6.39 lakh units.
- Three-wheelers recorded a 41% jump to 0.53 lakh units.
- International business witnessed robust growth of 31%, totaling 3.63 lakh units.
In the electric mobility segment, TVS reported its best-ever EV quarter with sales of 0.80 lakh units, a 7% increase from 0.75 lakh units a year earlier. The company noted that magnet availability remains a short- to medium-term challenge.
Half-Year Performance
For the half-year ended September 2025, total revenue rose 25% to ₹21,986 crore, while PBT climbed 36% to ₹2,279 crore. Two-wheeler sales grew 20% to 26.86 lakh units, and three-wheeler sales jumped 43% to 0.98 lakh units. International sales of both segments combined grew 34%, reaching 7.52 lakh units.
Strong Product Pipeline
Reinforcing its product portfolio, TVS launched four new vehicles in the past three months:
- TVS Orbiter, a smart, connected electric scooter redefining urban mobility.
- TVS King Kargo HD EV, designed for sustainable last-mile logistics.
- TVS NTORQ 150, India’s first “Hyper Sport” scooter and the most powerful in its class.
- TVS Apache RTX, a super-premium adventure rally tourer engineered for off-road performance and exploration.
All four models have received an encouraging market response, strengthening TVS Motor’s position across both ICE and EV segments.
