In a move set to transform India’s electric mobility landscape, Bolt.Earth, the country’s largest EV charging network, has partnered with Atul Greentech Private Limited, a leading global manufacturer of electric three-wheelers, to introduce India’s first-ever nationwide Home Charging Program.
The landmark collaboration aims to make professionally installed home chargers a standard feature with every new electric vehicle (EV) purchase, ensuring a seamless and confident ownership experience for buyers. Alongside this, the initiative will include comprehensive consumer education programs to promote safe and efficient charging practices—addressing two major challenges in India’s EV ecosystem: accessibility and user confidence.
“While India’s public charging network has expanded five-fold since FY22, access and convenience remain the biggest hurdles for EV owners,” said Divya Chandra, Managing Director, Atul Greentech. “Through this partnership with Bolt.Earth, we’re reimagining the EV experience—bringing charging home, where it belongs.”
The rollout will take place in three phases over the next three years. The initial phase will focus on planning and process alignment, followed by nationwide deployment of home charging points and customer awareness drives. The final phase will expand into smart charging, renewable energy integration, and advanced EV maintenance services.
Bolt.Earth, which already operates over 1,00,000 chargers across 1,800+ Indian cities, brings extensive infrastructure and technical expertise to the collaboration. “We’re working to make EV charging as routine and reliable as plugging in your phone,” said S. Under the agreement, Bolt.Earth will handle installation, maintenance, and technical support, while Atul Greentech will integrate the program into its dealership network, ensuring warranty linkage with safe, approved home chargers.
The partnership also sets the stage for future innovations such as renewable-powered charging and predictive maintenance solutions, further strengthening India’s transition to sustainable and user-friendly electric mobility.
