SWITCH Mobility has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Celcius Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd, a leading tech-enabled cold supply chain company in India, to deploy 350 electric refrigerated trucks—representing the country’s largest bulk order and first large-scale rollout of electric reefer light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in the cold chain sector.
According to SWITCH Mobility CEO Ganesh Mani S, this collaboration marks a major step forward in electrifying one of the most critical and energy-intensive segments of logistics. The planned deployment will utilize the SWITCH IeV Series EV reefer, engineered to maintain optimal temperature consistency even when idle, reducing transit losses and ensuring product freshness across frozen, chilled, and fresh cargo categories.
The vehicles are also designed for low noise, vibration, and harshness, enhancing operational efficiency and product safety. This initiative is expected to set a new national benchmark in sustainable, cost-efficient, and reliable temperature-controlled transportation, aligning with India’s broader clean mobility ambitions.
