In a landmark achievement for Vietnam’s automotive industry, VinFast has become the first automobile brand in the country to surpass 100,000 vehicle sales within the first three quarters of a single year. The company’s record-breaking performance cements its position as Vietnam’s best-selling carmaker for 11 consecutive months, highlighting its growing dominance in the domestic market.
According to the company’s latest report, VinFast delivered 13,914 electric vehicles in September 2025, pushing cumulative sales for the first nine months to 103,884 units—the highest figure ever recorded in Vietnam’s automotive history.
Leading the charge is the compact VF 3, dubbed “the national electric car,” with 31,386 units sold so far this year. The VF 5 followed closely with 30,956 units, including 2,173 units of its fleet-oriented variant, the Herio Green. Meanwhile, the VF 6 and VF 7 recorded 14,425 and 5,877 units respectively, while the Limo Green, a seven-seater MPV tailored for ride-hailing and premium transport, surged with 2,120 units delivered in September alone.
With production ramping up at its Hai Phong and Ha Tinh facilities, VinFast expects even stronger results in the final quarter of 2025.
Commenting on the milestone, Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Global Deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing, said, Behind the figure of more than 100,000 vehicles are millions of acts of trust and support from our customers. We are deeply grateful for their confidence and remain committed to delivering ever greater value, thereby accelerating Vietnam’s green transition.
VinFast’s milestone represents more than just commercial success — it signifies a turning point for Vietnam’s electric mobility revolution, where a homegrown brand has outpaced global competitors and reshaped consumer preferences.
Industry analysts see this achievement as a strong indicator that electric vehicles are now the mainstream choice in Vietnam, paving the way for the country to become one of the world’s leading EV markets in the near future.
