Terra Motors, the Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer, is accelerating its global expansion with the launch of its new Kyoro electric three-wheeler, priced at ₹3.65 lakh (on-road). With a 200 km range, top speed of 55 km/h, and an IP67-rated motor, the Kyoro is designed to handle diverse Indian road conditions while offering affordability and durability.

Under Telangana’s ambitious EV policy, which provides 100% exemption on road tax and registration fees for EVs until December 2026, Terra Motors has chosen the state as a strategic hub to drive its India growth plans. Telangana has already recorded over 2.59 lakh EV registrations, with permits issued for 20,000 electric autorickshaws in Hyderabad, making it a fertile ground for last-mile electric mobility solutions.

Equipped with an 11.7 kWh battery, a 2-speed gearbox with 22% gradeability for hill climbs, and a 4-hour charging cycle, the Kyoro promises smooth acceleration, low operating costs, and reliable performance. The company is also offering zero down payment financing options and a five-year warranty to attract buyers.

“Kyoro is a durable and economical electric vehicle, designed for Indian roads and drivers, and aligns perfectly with Telangana’s green mobility goals,” said Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors. “This policy strengthens financial incentives and simplifies registration, making it an ideal time for dealers to join the EV shift.”

Terra Motors already has partnerships with EV distributors in northern India and is now offering exclusive dealership territories across Hyderabad and other districts. With strong government backing, the company aims to establish Telangana as its priority EV hub while expanding to Southeast Asia and Pakistan, complementing its existing presence in Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand.

“As Telangana accelerates EV adoption, Kyoro offers a unique opportunity for dealers to enter a rapidly growing market,” added Suzuki. “At Terra, partnership goes beyond profits—we see our dealer partners as long-term collaborators in solving challenges and creating lasting growth opportunities.”

With its Japanese engineering, low running costs, and robust dealer support, Terra Motors is positioning the Kyoro as a profitable, market-ready solution for India’s growing demand in sustainable last-mile transportation.
