VinFast Auto India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Castrol India Limited to bolster its nationwide after-sales service network for electric vehicle (EV) customers. The partnership underscores VinFast’s long-term strategy to build a trusted and accessible EV ecosystem in India.

Under the agreement, selected outlets from Castrol’s 750+ Auto Service workshops across 300+ cities will feature dedicated VinFast-branded service bays, staffed by certified EV technicians and equipped with genuine VinFast parts. VinFast will provide diagnostic tools, service manuals, and training, while Castrol ensures its workshops meet required infrastructure and capability standards.

“This collaboration ensures that customers have access to trusted, high-quality service across the country from the beginning,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia. “It also aligns with our vision of supporting India’s sustainable mobility transition by making EV ownership hassle-free and future-ready.”

Rajeev Govil, Senior Vice President, India B2B, Castrol India, added: “After-sales service is critical for EV adoption. With Castrol’s wide reach and expertise, we are excited to deliver comprehensive EV solutions and strengthen India’s mobility ecosystem.”

The move comes as VinFast deepens its India footprint. The company recently inaugurated its first overseas EV assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually, scalable to 150,000 units. It also plans to establish 35 dealerships across 27 cities by end-2025, alongside the launch of its premium VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs.

Together, VinFast and Castrol aim to set new benchmarks in EV service quality through advanced diagnostics, genuine parts, and digital-first support—enhancing customer confidence and supporting India’s transition to sustainable mobility.
