Ultraviolette Automotive has announced the launch of the X-47 Crossover, the world’s first commercially available motorcycle equipped with integrated radar and camera technology as standard. Positioned as a breakthrough in electric mobility, the X-47 combines advanced rider safety systems, fighter jet-inspired design, and cutting-edge performance capabilities.
Redefining Rider Safety with UV HyperSense
At the heart of the innovation lies UV HyperSense, the world’s first radar intelligence system for motorcycles. It integrates 6th Gen long-range radar technology with Ultraviolette’s proprietary Vehicle Control Unit. The system offers four key features: blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear-collision warnings. Hazard lights are automatically triggered in critical scenarios, setting a new benchmark for rider safety.
Performance and Technical Highlights
The X-47 is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, delivering 40 hp (30 kW), 100 Nm torque, and an acceleration of 0–60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. It achieves a top speed of 145 km/h and an IDC-certified range of 323 km. With a ground clearance of 200 mm, 610 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, and radial all-terrain tyres, the crossover is engineered for both city commuting and challenging terrains.
The motorcycle also features:
- 10th Gen BOSCH Dual-Channel ABS with three levels of traction control.
- Brembo braking system with 320 mm front and 230 mm rear discs.
- 41 mm inverted cartridge front forks and rear mono-shock suspension with preload adjustability.
- Integrated dual-camera dashcam with HDR wide-angle imaging, continuous loop recording, crash-lock features, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivityPress Release_Ultraviolette Lau….
Charging Innovations
Ultraviolette has developed the world’s most power-dense air-cooled onboard charger, compatible with Type 2 AC car charging. The bike also introduces Parallel Boost Charging, halving charging times by combining onboard and external chargers. The system has been engineered for performance in high ambient temperatures of up to 50°C.
Smart Technology and Connectivity
Equipped with VIOLETTE A.I., the motorcycle offers advanced connectivity features including crash alerts, remote lockdown, fall/towing detection, and anti-collision warnings. Riders can also benefit from 9 levels of regenerative braking with Dynamic Regen and Dynamic Stability Control (UV DSC) for enhanced control under varied braking conditions.
Pricing and Availability
The X-47 Crossover is priced at an introductory ₹2,49,000, applicable to the first 1,000 customers. Bookings are open on Ultraviolette’s official website with a token of ₹999. Deliveries across India will begin in October 2025, followed by global deliveries in 2026.
Industry Impact
Commenting on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder, said the X-47 is “built from the ground up to transform the riding experience,” merging advanced safety with performance and versatility. CTO and Co-founder Niraj Rajmohan highlighted the company’s vertically integrated approach, noting that the X-47 “stands as our boldest declaration yet… a testament to disruptive ideas conceived and crafted in India.
