Iberdrola España, Iberdrola’s Spanish subsidiary, has reached a major milestone in its commitment to promoting and facilitating access to electric mobility: 10,000 charging points are now in operation across Spain. This network already has the capacity to serve up to one million electric vehicles. Since installing its first charger in 2016, the company—firmly committed to the energy transition and to achieving emissions-free, more efficient mobility—has become the national leader in charging infrastructure across all power segments.
Today, Iberdrola España operates more than 2,700 high-power charging points, including 1,300 ultra-fast chargers managed through Iberdrola | bp pulse, the joint venture established in December 2023 with bp. As the leading provider of ultra-fast charging at service stations in Spain, this partnership is driving the rapid expansion of next-generation charging infrastructure.
All Iberdrola charging points are powered by 100% renewable electricity with a guarantee of origin, helping to accelerate electrification while advancing the transition toward a system free from fossil fuel dependency.
