In a major push toward sustainable mobility in the Middle East, JBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd, a leading electric bus manufacturer and part of JBM Auto Ltd, has joined hands with Al Habtoor Motors, one of the UAE’s top automobile distributors, to introduce next-generation electric buses across the UAE.
The landmark partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony attended by senior leadership from both companies. Under the agreement, Al Habtoor Motors will act as the exclusive importer and distributor of JBM’s electric buses, supporting nationwide deployment and establishing service infrastructure. The collaboration aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative, aiming to reduce emissions, lower operating costs, and enhance passenger comfort while modernizing public transport.
JBM Electric Vehicles, known for its smart, connected, and zero-emission bus solutions, operates one of the world’s largest integrated manufacturing facilities in India, capable of producing 20,000 buses annually. Its fleet has already covered over 200 million kilometers, serving more than a billion passengers, saving over 350 million liters of diesel, and cutting over a billion kilograms of CO₂ emissions. The company has pledged to clock 3 billion kilometers globally with its electric buses within the next three years.

Al Habtoor Motors plans to introduce JBM e-buses across multiple segments, including urban city, staff, school, tarmac, and intercity-tourist applications. Equipped with advanced lithium-ion batteries, smart charging systems, and comprehensive safety features, these buses are built to meet UAE EV standards and withstand the region’s harsh climatic conditions. The partnership will also offer a turnkey solution combining e-buses, charging infrastructure, and leasing services.
