Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has unveiled the Honda WN7, its first fixed-battery electric naked motorcycle for the European market, marking a significant step in the company’s push toward electrification and carbon neutrality.

The WN7, derived from the “EV Fun Concept” showcased at EICMA 2024 in Milan, enters the “Fun” segment with performance benchmarks that rival 600cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles in output and 1000cc ICE models in torque. Designed under the development concept “Be the Wind,” the WN7 reflects Honda’s ambition to blend riding excitement with sustainability.

Honda estimates the WN7 will deliver a range of more than 130 kilometers (83 miles) on a single charge. Equipped with a fixed lithium-ion battery, it supports rapid charging via the CCS2 standard — from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes — and can be fully recharged at home in under three hours. Riders will also benefit from a slim, futuristic EV design and a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity through Honda RoadSync.

The launch reinforces Honda’s long-term environmental vision of achieving carbon neutrality across all products and corporate activities by 2050, with all motorcycle products expected to be carbon-neutral in the 2040s. Since declaring 2024 as the first year of global electric motorcycle expansion, Honda has been accelerating its EV rollout, targeting both commuter and leisure riders.

“With the WN7, Honda is translating more than 75 years of motorcycle expertise into the EV era, delivering smooth, quiet, and exhilarating rides while offering sustainability and advanced connectivity,” the company said in a statement.

Honda plans to continue broadening its electric motorcycle lineup to meet diverse customer needs worldwide.
