Jitendra EV Signs MoU with MET’s Institute of Engineering to Boost EV Research and Talent Development

Jitendra New EV Tech Pvt. Ltd. (JNEVTPL), operating under the brand Jitendra Electric Vehicles, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MET’s Institute of Engineering (IOE), Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik. The agreement, formalized with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, is aimed at strengthening academic-industry collaboration in the growing electric mobility sector.

The signing ceremony took place at MET’s IOE, with Dr. V.P. Wani, Principal of the institute, signing the MoU in the presence of Dr. S.D. Kalpande, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sachin Dahake, and other departmental heads. Representing JNEVTPL, Mr. Tejas Merchant from the Research & Development department signed the agreement, accompanied by Mr. Satish Kulkarni and Mr. Ganesh Jadhav.

Under the partnership, the two organizations will collaborate on research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving in the electric vehicle (EV) domain. The MoU outlines provisions for expert consultancy from IOE to address productivity improvements, resolve operational challenges, and implement advanced engineering practices. It also includes technical support for EV product development across electric scooters, rickshaws, bikes, and other mobility solutions.

Students from IOE will gain industry exposure through plant visits, internships, and live projects, offering practical experience in EV technologies and manufacturing processes.

“This MoU marks a vital step toward bridging classroom learning with real-world innovation. Collaborating with a forward-looking company like Jitendra EV will empower our students to engage with cutting-edge technologies, enhance their practical skills, and contribute meaningfully to the future of electric mobility,” said Dr. Wani.

Mr. Merchant added, “This collaboration is more than just knowledge exchange — it’s about nurturing future-ready engineers who can contribute to real-time problem-solving and innovation in the EV space. We aim to build a strong foundation for joint research, product development, and talent development.”
