Emobi, North America’s largest EV charging roaming and JustPlug infrastructure provider, has announced a strategic partnership with ElectricFish, a California-based distributed energy innovator, to accelerate the deployment of ultra-fast, grid-independent charging solutions for both public and fleet users.
The collaboration integrates Emobi’s patented JustPlug technology with ElectricFish’s 350Squared microgrid-scale battery storage and charging systems, addressing two of the biggest barriers to EV adoption: charging speed and grid upgrade delays.
Emobi’s JustPlug solution allows 80% of existing vehicles and chargers—most of which lack traditional Plug & Charge capabilities—to connect seamlessly and securely, using encryption and certificate authentication. Meanwhile, ElectricFish’s 350Squared system delivers charging 133% faster than conventional hardware, while reducing the need for expensive and time-consuming grid upgrades by up to 90%.
“This partnership exemplifies our commitment to future-proofing EV infrastructure as we expand beyond public charging into fleet depots,” said Lin Sun Fa, CEO of Emobi. “By combining JustPlug with ElectricFish’s solutions, we ensure secure, seamless charging today while preparing for Vehicle-to-Grid communication tomorrow.”
Echoing this, Anurag Kamal, CEO of ElectricFish, stated: “Our 350Squared units bring the simplicity of gas station fueling to EV charging—ultra-fast sessions, grid resilience, and minimal installation delays. Partnering with Emobi lets us deliver a plug-in-and-go experience for both drivers and fleet operators.”
The companies will debut their integrated solutions in Detroit, Redwood City, and Oakland, California, showcasing how JustPlug-enabled ElectricFish stations can deliver fast, grid-independent charging without costly infrastructure upgrades.
With this partnership, Emobi and ElectricFish are charting a pathway for scalable, secure, and resilient EV charging networks, supporting North America’s rapid shift toward electrified mobility.
