The Chinese supply chain is a miracle. The Chinese market is vast and full of vitality, declared NVIDIA Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang during an interview at the third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), which concluded in Beijing.

The Expo showcased China’s continued efforts to position itself at the heart of global supply chain transformation. Structured around six major industrial chains and one dedicated supply chain service area, the event attracted international and domestic enterprises eager to highlight breakthroughs in integration, innovation, and resilience.

The Advanced Manufacturing Chain drew attention to next-generation industrial automation, featuring AI-powered full-stack technologies and humanoid robotics that promise to reshape factory floors worldwide.

The Green Agriculture Chain focused on digital transformation in rural sectors, with precision irrigation systems and agricultural drones supporting smarter, more sustainable farm-to-table practices.

The Digital Technology Chain underscored the role of AI in strengthening supply chain resilience. Global semiconductor giants presented AI-integrated terminal applications and digital forecasting tools to enhance demand planning accuracy and reduce disruptions.

The Healthy Life Chain highlighted holistic innovation in healthcare, spanning modern applications of traditional Chinese medicine to improved supply chain traceability in cotton and medical textiles.

The Smart Vehicle Chain reflected China’s rapid rise in EV and mobility infrastructure. Domestic EV manufacturers reported a 300 percent boost in data processing capacity, powered by integrated AI chips, while international component suppliers demonstrated digital tools enhancing responsiveness across the mobility value chain.

The Clean Energy Chain showcased China’s global leadership in renewable energy, with Chinese firms now supplying 80 percent of the world’s photovoltaic modules and accounting for roughly one-third of global clean energy investments.

Complementing these industrial sectors, the Supply Chain Service Area displayed coordinated logistics, digital finance solutions, and other integrated services designed to support the broader ecosystem.

The Expo’s expansive vision captured China’s adaptability and innovative strength in supply chains—an essential factor in its role as a global economic hub.

The sentiment echoed comments made by Apple CEO Tim Cook during his visit to the previous CISCE, where he noted: “Over 80 percent of Apple’s 200 major global suppliers manufacture in China.”

With a focus on digitalization, AI integration, and sustainable growth, the third CISCE reinforced China’s ambition to remain an indispensable and dynamic link in global industrial networks—underscoring why global tech leaders still see the country as critical to future innovation and resilience.
