In a move set to redefine urban electric mobility, Odysse Electric Vehicles, one of India’s fastest-growing premium EV manufacturers, has announced a strategic partnership with Indofast Energy—a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and SUN Mobility. This collaboration aims to integrate SUN Mobility’s cutting-edge battery-swapping technology into Odysse’s newly launched high-speed electric scooter, SNAP, making EV adoption faster, more affordable, and incredibly convenient for Indian commuters.

The battery-swapping-enabled SNAP is now being rolled out in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, with phased expansion to other urban markets underway.

The SNAP electric scooter comes with a peak motor output of 2000 watts, a top speed of 55 km/h, and a range of 100 km per swap. It features an IP67 waterproof-rated motor, robust chassis tailored for Indian roads, cruise control, and a CAN-enabled digital display offering real-time battery and range updates. With SUN Mobility’s technology, riders can now swap out a depleted battery in under two minutes, eliminating long charging times and range anxiety—a key barrier to EV adoption.

By combining our rider-first approach with SUN Mobility’s game-changing battery platform, we’re addressing India’s biggest EV challenges—downtime, affordability, and convenience,” said Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric Vehicles. “The SNAP marks a pivotal step toward building a truly rider-friendly electric ecosystem.

This latest development builds on the duo’s earlier success with the Vader SM electric motorcycle, launched in global markets. Now, the SNAP brings the same innovation to India’s mainstream commuter segment.

Key benefits of the SNAP’s battery-swapping system include:

  • Zero Downtime: Simply swap and ride—no charging wait
  • Lower Upfront Costs: Energy is paid through subscription, not battery ownership
  • Eco-Friendly Operations: Shared battery networks reduce carbon footprint
  • Low Maintenance: Centralized battery health monitoring reduces wear and tear
  • Smart Convenience: App-enabled access to swap stations and usage tracking

Offered at an aggressive price of ₹49,999 (ex-showroom), the SNAP will be available with SUN Mobility’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model:

  • ₹999/month for 25 kWh
  • ₹2,499/month for 75 kWh

Expanding our battery-swapping technology to the Indian market through SNAP is a natural next step,” said Rajat Malhan, Senior VP, Indofast Energy. “This is about bringing mass-scale convenience and flexibility to riders and accelerating EV adoption in India.

With battery swapping rapidly emerging as a scalable, cost-effective solution for two-wheeler EVs, the Odysse–SUN Mobility alliance could be a game changer in India’s journey towards smarter, greener mobility. India’s electric revolution is here—and it’s faster than ever.
