In a significant step towards reshaping last-mile logistics with sustainable innovation, BikeWo GreenTech Ltd has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Commerce Forever to launch and scale electric vehicle-based delivery operations across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and surrounding regions.

As part of this agreement, BikeWo will lease between 1,500 to 2,500 electric two-wheelers to delivery partners operating within Commerce Forever’s expanding B2B e-commerce supply chain. The collaboration aims to reduce over 547 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, cut logistics costs, and empower delivery partners—especially in rural areas.

Beyond vehicle deployment, the partnership has a wider developmental agenda. The MoU outlines the establishment of regional skill development centres dedicated to training rural delivery partners in EV operations, road safety, and digital logistics systems. These training initiatives are expected to foster job creation and enhance rural youth employability in the growing green logistics sector.

“This partnership is not limited to vehicle leasing for us,” said Manideep Katepalli, Managing Director of BikeWo GreenTech Ltd. “It’s a holistic, technology-led approach to green commerce. We’re merging clean mobility, digital logistics, and rural skilling into one impactful model. The regional training centres will play a key role in job creation and upskilling.”

Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Partner at Commerce Forever, echoed similar sentiments: “We’re excited about this partnership. It fulfills our ambition to redefine last-mile delivery as cleaner, smarter, and more inclusive. It also aligns with India’s decarbonisation goals. Together, we aim to build a future-ready logistics ecosystem while empowering communities.”

The two companies will also co-invest in advanced technology platforms to accelerate rider onboarding, enhance route optimization, and streamline fleet management.

With India’s last-mile delivery market projected to reach $6–7 billion by 2027, fueled by e-commerce growth and rising demand for eco-friendly logistics, this collaboration sets a precedent for sustainable and inclusive logistics innovation.
