Kinetic Watts and Volts Inaugurates Next-Gen EV Manufacturing Hub in Maharashtra, Marking Strategic Comeback in India’s Electric Mobility Sector

Kinetic Watts and Volts (KWV), the electric mobility arm of the Kinetic Group, officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra. Spanning over 87,000 sq. ft., the facility is aimed at delivering scalable and sustainable EV production, marking the Group’s significant re-entry into the electric mobility sector.

The launch is seen as a major milestone in the company’s transition from a traditional two-wheeler legacy to a modern, clean mobility brand. The new plant will serve both domestic and international markets with Made-in-India electric vehicles.

Facility Highlights Advanced Automation, Sustainability Goals

The facility features fully digitized assembly lines, advanced robotics, and an eco-conscious infrastructure that aligns with India’s broader mission to promote clean transportation. It is designed to cater to a range of electric mobility needs, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and commercial fleet vehicles.

Leadership Speaks on Strategic Importance

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman of Kinetic Group, described the facility as a strategic step in the Group’s long-term vision.

“This facility represents our commitment to shaping the future of mobility with world-class manufacturing excellence. It’s a proud moment for Kinetic as we move toward innovation, sustainability, and next-gen electric mobility,” he said during the inauguration ceremony.

Kinetic Group Revives Legacy with EV Focus

Known for iconic models like the Kinetic Luna, the Kinetic Group is aiming to channel its engineering heritage into the electric vehicle segment through KWV. The company, which launched KWV in 2022, is now focused on producing export-ready, reliable, and affordable EVs for urban transport and fleet logistics.

Plans Ahead: Product Launches, Export Markets, and Fleet Solution

The company’s roadmap includes the launch of new electric scooters and utility vehicles, with features such as removable battery technology and smart platforms. KWV is also planning entry into the last-mile delivery and ride-sharing markets.

The facility is expected to play a central role in the production of these upcoming EV models and position India as a key manufacturing hub in the global EV supply chain.

With this launch, Kinetic Watts and Volts reinforces its commitment to sustainable innovation and positions itself as a key contender in India’s rapidly growing EV ecosystem.
