Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has made a major statement at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Surabaya 2025, unveiling the right-hand drive version of the VF 6 B-segment SUV for the first time in Indonesia. With the largest booth at the event, the company is signaling its serious commitment to the Indonesian market and its ambition to become a leading player in the nation’s fast-growing EV segment.
At IIMS Surabaya, VinFast is showcasing its full electric vehicle lineup, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34, spanning Indonesia’s most in-demand vehicle categories. The centerpiece, the VF 6, officially launched for sale earlier this May, comes in Eco and Plus variants priced at 396,995,000 IDR and 451,600,000 IDR respectively (OTR East Java), targeting urban drivers with a smart, tech-forward design.
“Our participation at IIMS Surabaya is a milestone in our journey to connect with East Java consumers and solidify our market presence,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia. “With the right-hand drive VF 6 debuting here, Indonesia remains a top priority in our global expansion.”
VinFast is backing its launch with aggressive promotional offers. Customers purchasing the VF 6 before June 30, 2025, can avail cashback up to 15 million IDR, a free one-year comprehensive insurance package via Tugu Insurance, and free charging at V-GREEN stations until March 1, 2028. Buyers will also receive an accessory gift package worth 13.3 million IDR.
In collaboration with Adira Finance, VinFast is offering flexible financing options, including 0% interest plans, initial payments as low as 28 million IDR, and monthly installments from just 3.9 million IDR.
To further drive engagement, the company is hosting a lucky draw at the event with prizes including a brand-new VF 5. Visitors can also explore VinFast’s green mobility ecosystem, which includes public and home charging solutions, a smart vehicle management app, and a nationwide after-sales support system.
VinFast has already established a strong physical footprint in Indonesia, with 22 dealerships, 20 authorized service centers, and 25 third-party workshops, including seven locations in East Java alone.
Reinforcing its customer-first approach, VinFast is also rolling out a vehicle exchange and buy-back policy, offering up to 90% of the vehicle’s value after six months and 70% after three years, giving Indonesian EV buyers confidence and flexibility in their investment.
VinFast’s growing presence in Surabaya, one of Indonesia’s busiest economic centers, marks a key phase in its nationwide distribution strategy. With its comprehensive product range, aggressive pricing, and robust support ecosystem, the company is well-positioned to accelerate EV adoption across the archipelago.
