In a major push towards sustainable logistics, Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has delivered an additional 20 units of its flagship electric small commercial vehicle, the Ace EV, to Magenta Mobility. This delivery brings Magenta Mobility’s total Ace EV fleet to 350 vehicles, further cementing the company’s position in India’s growing green logistics sector.

The latest handover is part of a larger Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Tata Motors and Magenta Mobility in 2023, aimed at deploying 500 units of the Ace EV across the country. Currently operating in 10 cities, Magenta Mobility’s Tata Ace EV fleet has collectively covered around 50 lakh kilometres, helping avoid approximately 2,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Maxson Lewis, Founder & CEO of Magenta Mobility, stated,

“The Tata Ace EV has consistently delivered operational excellence, high uptime, robust range, and driver-friendly performance. With 350 vehicles already integrated into our fleet and 150 more on the way, we are strengthening our green logistics footprint across India.”

He also emphasized the role of Tata Motors’ reliable technology and service ecosystem in scaling Magenta’s operations across 16 Indian cities.

Mr. Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, highlighted the company’s commitment to transforming urban logistics:

“We are not just deploying electric vehicles, we are building the foundation for a cleaner, smarter logistics ecosystem across urban India. Each Ace EV delivered is a step forward in democratising zero-emission cargo transport and accelerating the nation’s green mobility movement.”

The Tata Ace EV stands out with a certified range of 161 km, a payload capacity of 1,000 kg, and smart features like regenerative braking, an advanced battery cooling system, and Tata Motors’ Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform for real-time analytics. Supported by a dedicated network of over 200 specialized EV service centers, the Ace EV has proven to be a reliable asset for fleet operators across sectors like e-commerce, FMCG, FMCD, dairy, and courier services.

With over 8,000 units sold and 6 crore kilometres already clocked pan-India, the Tata Ace EV is fast emerging as the backbone of India’s electric cargo movement, helping shape a greener and more efficient logistics future.
